Gastrointestinal mucositis is a common adverse effect of chemotherapy. Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) are a spectrum of chronic inflammatory disorders of the digestive tract. Mucositis and IBD/colitis are characterized by weight loss and intestinal inflammation. Previous animal studies suggest th
